Mentax *

Description

Mentax (butenafine) is an antifungal cream used to treat fungal infections affecting the skin, such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch. Butenafine is a synthetic antifungal compound, belonging to the group of medications called benzylamines.

Mentax cream inhibits the growth of fungi responsible for triggering the common symptoms of these conditions, which include redness, itching, and swelling of the affected parts. It relieves the symptoms and restores the normal appearance of the skin.

DosageOnly use Mentax as recommended by the treating doctor. The usual dosage for treatment of athlete’s foot is an application of the cream on the affected area twice each day for seven days, or once daily for four weeks. For treatment of ringworm or jock itch, the usual treatment is once per day for two weeks.

Mentax is not usually prescribed to treat fungal infections of the nails.
